Pantai Hospital

I was recommended by a General Practioner to visit a specialist at Pantai Medical Centre.

As I follow the direction from road sign down the sloop, I came across Pantai Hospital Instead. I wasn't sure if the Pantai Medical Centre part of Pantai Hospital. I tried to look everywhere but couldn't see the sign of PANTAI MEDICAL CENTRE!!! Finally I got confirmation that Pantai Hospital is Pantai Medical Centre. wtf.

"HOW CAN IT BE POSSIBLE? HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTRE SHOULD BE TWO DIFFERENT ENTITY", I THOUGHT.

So I hit Google, below is the finding:

Medical centers usually have additional components besides providing direct patient care, such as teaching sites for healthcare students as well as conducting clinical research studies.

SEE?? There is a difference!!! How could they possibly expect visitors to know both medical centre and hospital located the same premises with no signage on???

Then I drove into car park ( I parked at 1A, floor between 2 floors.) and walked to the direction pointing LIFT TO LOBBY. As I stepped in i'm between staircases ==I, I chose going up however I hit another staircase and another. So I thought I might had mistaken  'staircase' as 'lift to Lobby' (Don't think I'm that no brainer lo?). I went down to where I came from, it stated LIFT TO Lobby ==II. Then I thought the lift might be  located at the other staircase, so I went down this time but there is only one exit which is stated ' To Car Park'. FUCK. I decided to give up the bloody lift and walked all the way up to lobby. ==III.

I walked from block D to block B as direction given and found 'SPECIALIST' at directory board but the only way in from the foyer stated 'Radiotherapy Unit', I was baffled. So I call again, 'it's right next to Radiotherapy centre.' she said. wtf, 'how could it be no proper indication of where the specialist is???'

After registered at the counter, I ask for washroom direction. She shows me straight to the right. I walked down the aisle and looked to the right, no washroom sign was spotted but just another row of rooms where other specialists are. So I walked down further and turned to right and another right, it's literally a 270 degree walk before reaching the washroom. Then I realise the direction given earlier was correct, it's located at the end of the entire row of rooms I was at earlier, the washroom signage is displayed against the wall where the washroom is. ==IIII

I puzzled how could possibly they do not put up a protruding one for visitors coming from different corner .........Like this?

Or at least a signage with an arrow at where the turning is...........like this ??  BUT NON!!! non of these were displayed. I storted a little.

Put these aside, the overall examination was quite professionally done.

After the prescriptions, I was asked to pay at the central Discharge Room unless I'm paying cash. She ask me If I could pay by cash Again.

"I got no cash now",  I feel quite disturbed.

"How about ATM?" I puzzled, why is she keep pressing for cash payment? Maybe she considered there might be long wait especially when the counter gets busy. Or maybe that could maximize the total profit ( Assuming there are splits in between hospital)???

Well, unfortunately I couldn't help. Sorry granny. Then she requested a receipt.

" Why do you need a receipt.... from me", I wonder. She didn't answer but insist on a printed receipt. So I offered her to come with me instead since it's quite a distance (I'm not that bad lah, if she insist again I might bring to her)

At the discharged room, the cashier asked me whether I'm bringing the receipt back to the room. I puzzled, why the world I required to bring the receipt back? As a reference payment was made? However there should be a system to ensure payment is being made by the patient. What if some jerk just run away? Can't an established private hospital to afford an online system? how about the lowest investment like CCTV? RIGHT? wtf.

Essentially, all these inconveniences are insignificant if I'm alone, however when you're with child, it would be a trouble to move around so much. I wonder how could possibly a  established private hospital with no sense of amenities ==IIIIIII

Note: I realised the signage 'To Car Park' is where the exit to lift lobby. Shouldn't it be ' To Car Park and Lift to Lobby'?? Hmmmppp!!
